I am an artist currently doing my PhD in Evolution & Behaviour at the University of Lethbridge. I work both independently and in collaboration with other artists including 12 Point Buck and M.E.D.I.U.M.. My solo exhibitions, Coyote (2014), Backyard Wilderness (2019/2021), and Burrows & Bungalows (2022), address the intersection of wildlife with rural, suburban, and urban spaces. These exhibitions demonstrate my continued interest in natural history methodologies and their connection to taxidermy, printmaking, and collage. I have done residencies at the Banff Centre (2005), Klondike Institute of Art & Culture (2017), and the Gushul Studio (2021). My mixed media works “Coyote” and “Hawk on a Farmhouse” toured as part of A Prairie Vernacular from 2019-2021. Upcoming exhibitions include Visualizing the Data (2023) in Casa’s project space and a hybrid of Backyard Wilderness and Burrows & Bungalows at the Red Deer Museum and Art Gallery (2024).
